Roles in Play
Gang vs. Neighborhood- Gang MemberGang
You know the other Gang members. Each night the Gang silently agrees on one player to eliminate. Blend in during the day.
- NeighborNeighborhood
You have no special ability. Your job is to talk, listen, and vote out the Gang.
- DetectiveNeighborhood
Each night the Game Master will ask you to silently pick one living player to investigate. The GM will privately signal whether that player is Gang.
- MedicNeighborhood
Each night the Game Master will ask you to silently pick one living player to protect. If the Gang targets them, they survive the night.
- BodyguardNeighborhood
Each night the Game Master will ask you to silently pick one living player to guard. If the Gang targets them, you take the hit instead.
- InsiderNeighborhood
You are on the Neighborhood side. When you are eliminated, the Game Master will let you take one final live action before play continues.
- ImposterNeighborhood (appears Gang)
You are truly on the Neighborhood side, but the Gang thinks you are one of them. You will wake with the Gang at night — pretend to help pick a target. Only real Gang picks count.
How It Works
- 1Welcome to the NeighborhoodEveryone joins the room and gathers around the table. The Game Master sets the roster and gets the session ready.
- 2Role CallRoles are secretly dealt. Each player privately learns whether they're a peaceful Neighbor or part of the Gang.
- 3Survive the NightPhones down. The Gang silently picks a target while the Detective, Medic, and other night roles do their work.
- 4Read the RoomMorning arrives. The Game Master announces what happened and the neighborhood starts talking — who's acting suspicious?
- 5Cast Your VoteDebate, accuse, defend. When the timer's up, the neighborhood votes on who to eliminate.
- 6Face the ConsequencesThe eliminated player's role is revealed (if the Game Master allows it) and a new night begins. Rinse. Repeat. Trust no one.
When every Gang member has been eliminated, the neighborhood is safe and the Neighbors take the win.
When the Gang equals or outnumbers the remaining Neighborhood, they've taken over — the Gang wins.
Phones are for private information and voting. The table is for the game.
